Cameron Phelts - Baseball
WACO, Texas - Cameron Phelts (SO/Layton, UT) of Texas College garnered RRAC Baseball Player of the Week honors for March 5-11, this is the sixth set of baseball weekly awards for the 2018 season.
Phelts scored 10 runs and drove in eight in a 6-1 week for the Steers. The sophomore outfielder sparked a three-game sweep of Calumet College St. Joseph (Ind.) with five hits including a home run and two RBIs in an 8-5 second game victory. Phelts tacked on three multi-hit outings in a three-game sweep of RRAC opponent University of the Southwest (N.M.). The Layton, Utah, native closed out the series with three hits and two runs scored en route to a 4-3 win. For the week, Phelts was 12-of-23 with five extra-base hits and five stolen bases. He is second in the RRAC with a .422 batting average. Texas College jumps to 11-9 on the season with a 3-3 conference mark.
