AUSTIN, Texas - Texas College baseball completes a four game sweep of Huston-Tillotson University 10-5, 9-0, 8-2, 11-4.
How it Happened - Game 1
In the top of the first inning, the Steers would strike first scoring three runs with Cameron Phelts (JR/Layton, UT) reaching second base on a dropped fly ball to center. Khalyd Cox (SR/Tampa, FL) would the single up the middle to score Phelts. Khalyd would then steal second base to put himself in scoring position. Josiris Del Orbe Martinez (SR/Carolina, PR) would then reach on a five pitch walk. Cox would then steal third base. Hunter Babineaux (SR/Lafayette, LA) would then come to the plate with a chance to drive in a run in which he hit a sac fly to right to score Khalyd. Josiris would advance to second on the throw home. Kyle Smith (JR/Iota, LA) hit a sac fly to center field advancing Josiris to third base. Emanuel Jimenez (SR/Orlando, FL) would come to the plate and single through the infield to score Martinez. TC would score once more over the next three innings as HTU would score two in the bottom of the third and fourth to tie the game. In the top of the eight the Steers would put the game out of reach scoring six runs.

Texas College finished with 10 runs on 10 hits while committing two errors.
- Emanuel Jimenez would go 2 for 2 on the day with a double, 1 RBI, and 1 run scored.
- Josiris Del Orbe Martinez went 2 for 4 with one double, 1 RBI, and 1 run scored.
- Cameron Phelts went 2 for 5 with 1 RBI, and 2 runs scored.
- Carlos Collazo (JR/Carolina, PR) was 1 for 3 with a double, 1 RBI, and 1 run scored.
- Jonathan Riffle (FR/Crosby, TX) went 1 for 3 with 1 RBI.
- Khalyd Cox was 1 for 4 with 2 RBI, 2 stolen bases, and 1 run scored.
- Hunter Babineaux went 1 for 4 with a double, 1 RBI, and 1 run scored.
Roderick Voisin (FR/New Iberia, LA) would get the win as he only allowed HTU to only two hits and two walks. The Rams would bang out a total 12 hits and commit one error.
How it Happened - Game 2
The Steers struck early scoring twice in the top of the first with Phelts scoring on a wild pitch and Cox scoring on a bases loaded walk. Michael Traylor (JR/Freeport, TX) would keep HTU scoreless throughout the game as he went all seven innings giving up only five hits with six strikeouts, and one walk. Texas College would give Traylor more run support in the top of the fourth scratching seven runs across the board and go on to win 9-0 in a shutout.

The Steers finished with nine runs on nine hits and committed one error.
- Khalyd Cox went 2 for 4 with 3 run homerun, 3 RBI, two runs scored, and two stolen bases.
- Josiris Del Orbe Martinez was 2 for 3 with one stolen base, and 1 run scored.
- Mark Zuniga (SR/Houston, TX) went 1 for 2 with a double 1 RBI, one stolen base, and 1 run scored.
- Carlos Collazo was 1 for 3 with 1 RBI, one stolen base, and 1 run scored.

How it Happened - Game 3
Kyle Smith would tie the game 1 to 1 in the top of the second inning with a solo homerun. After the Rams scratched another run to go up 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Joseph Panalez (SR/Sugar Land, TX) would keep Texas College close until the top of the seventh where Hunter Babineaux came to the plate and hit a solo shot to tie the game. In the top of the ninth TC found ways to get on base with Cameron Phelts drawing a walk and Khalyd Cox putting a bunt in play causing HTU to make an error Phelts getting to third and Cox at second. Josiris Del Orbe Martinez would then draw a walk to load the bases. Hunter Babineaux would put the Steers ahead scoring Phelts on a groundout to 1B. Kyle Smith would draw another walk to load the bases. With the bases loaded, Logan Nicholson (SR/Port Lavaca, TX) to come to the plate in a pinch hit situation. Nicholson battling at the plate bringing the count 3-2 would then hit a grand slam to ultimately put the Steers up 7-2. Texas College would go on to scratch across one more run to bring the game 8-2 putting it out of reach.

The Steers finished with eight runs on three hits and committed one error.
- Logan Nicholson was 1 for 1 with a pinch hit grand slam (4 RBI).
- Kyle Smith went 1 for 3 with a solo homerun, 1 RBI, and two runs scored.
- Hunter Babineaux was 1 for 4 with a solo homerun and 2 RBI.
Joseph Panalez would get the win on the mound as he threw a complete game going nine innings with 4 strikeouts, three walks, and giving up two runs on five hits.
How it Happened - Game 4
With Texas College being down 4-3 going into the top of the fifth, the bats would the come alive as Jayson Jimenez (FR/Orlando, FL) sparked it with a double to lead off. Mark Zuniga would drop a bunt down for a hit advancing Phelts to third, who came in to pinch run for Jayson. Zuniga advanced to second, on a stolen base, while Cameron Phelts was picked off trying to advance to home on the throw. Jordan Burnett (SO/Colleyville, TX) reached base on a wild throw, Mark Zuniga advanced to third. Cory Labsan (SO/Sarasota, FL) dropped down sacrifice bunt squeeze to score Zuniga. Hunter Babineaux who came in to pinch run for Burnett advanced to second. Kylan Ricks (SR/Bastrop, LA) would then singled to left, Advancing Babineaux to third. Daniel Segura (FR/New Iberia, LA) singled to deep left-center, scoring Babineaux, Ricks advanced to third, Segura then advanced to second on the throw. Nicholas Babineaux (JR/Lafayette, LA) singled to left, scoring Ricks and Segura. TC would score 4 runs on five hits and then follow up in the top of the sixth scoring 4 more runs and go on to win 11-4.
